Interest is building in new Greektown residential development
On Saturday, September 12th, Hour Detroit hosted the 5th annual Downtown Living Tour. Pivoting to accommodate the need for maintaining COVID-19 safety precautions, this year’s event was a socially distanced, self-guided tour beginning at Alexander Real Estate Detroit’s New Construction Hub located in Beacon Park. There, guests checked in to receive programs before heading out for their tour. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual tour was also made available. In total, more than 500 registrations were logged for this year’s tour.
Alexander Real Estate Detroit, one of the event’s major sponsors, featured several of their existing properties as part of the tour, adding in a small preview of the Exchange development, set to break ground in Greektown later this fall. Although Exchange was not a featured property of the tour, the LIFTbuild team shared renderings of some of the unit types and amenities that will be available within the building, bringing residential lifestyle options to the Greektown neighborhood. Hannah Hoppough of Alexander Real Estate Detroit commented,
“There was a high level of interest in eXchange… Tour participants loved the building’s contrasting facade, floorplan options, and column-free views of the city. Exchange already stands out in the landscape of current real estate market options.”
Breaking ground in late 2020, Exchange is the first North American project to utilize the LIFTbuild assembly system. The technology allows for a column-free environment and open, clear-span views from each residential unit. Efficiencies inherently built into the assembly process will allow the project to be completed 30% faster than traditional construction.
